i got frustrated and almost gave up on this piece.
Got through it by experimenting with some new techniques.
definitely not proud of this one...

need to do more hardcore perspective and environment studies. Layouts sure need A LOT of planning, and thinking.

Summer Prints + Dailies

Been trying to convince myself that I have been busy this summer and attempting to justify it with this post. : ( (Anyone who plays LoL with me knows that this is a lie)

Painting has become really stressful....I keep thinking about how fast I'd need to work if I had a job in a studio pipeline and feel like I should up my effiicieny. I've also realized that I suck at design. The values can be there and it can look real, but it lacks a solid design, it's no good! so I'm going to try to build my visual library and design A LOT more in addition to studying light and values.  I'm going to aim to do an environment + character / design a day.
